Jan and I had the pleasure of spending a late evening with the self-proclaimed mothervloggers at the road node house during vloggercon. We got to watch as they went through the freevlog.org videoblogging tutorial. it was great getting to know them. They were an extremely enthusiastic and funny crew. they also had these really great waffle cookies that they left with me (all gone now). Here's a video from that evening as they create two vlogs. Surprise Footage Found On My Xacti
Never leave your camera where videobloggers can get ahold of it. I think I left these punks in the car for just a few minutes while I was getting some gas. Serves me right for leaving my camera behind and in reach. As soon as you turn your back these kids are teasing each other in the back seat. What's a vlogger to do? Click the pic to view the vid. Jay recently posted a video from his visit to the Digital Dojo. It was really great being able to spend time with him and Ryanne.
Thanks to Erik Nelson at the Bottom Union
I'm coming up on my one year anniversary of videoblogging and when I look back at all the amazing things that happened in the Vlogosphere, two major collaborative events stand out: videobloggingweek2005 and carp caviar. What Erik started last year, continues to amaze and delight me. Most recently Chris Weagel of Human Dog and Erik have produced a pair of collaborative videos that scare the crap out of me. I love them, but I think I really need to move to another country.

Echo Park Film Center - Of By And For - Part One
We went to the Echo Park Film Center to participate in a videoblog showing by Roger of 93mm.org. What a great place to learn about making media. The center's director Pablo was a wonderfully warm person and gave a great overview of the Center's workings.Click the pic tp view the video (actually, it's dark in the room for the screening and so mainly just listen to this articulate and warm individual describes the center. It is obviously his passion.
