Carp Caviar 2006 Promo Series: Uno Mas, Part II

A brief musical interlude in our story. Or is it? Here is a small little piece that highlights all the fine folks who are participating in this wonderful collaboration. Of course, I'm way too lazy to edit this much video. So I programmed it. First, I used PHP to grab the text and images from Erik's site and then wrote a small composition in Quartz Composer to manipulate the data (as javascript arrays) into the exported movie you see. A quick trip to the Internet Archive for the lively "Ole!" spanish trance soundtrack, import into iMovie and viola! Read more »

Videoblogging Week 2006 - Post #6 - What Is A Node?

We're talking Node101 of course.  A bunch of folks in a workshop decided to make a video with some of their own answers.  Then we edited them together.  Here's the result (it was our first time using FCP).  If you're interested in creating video and putting it on a blog, some to one of our free workshops.

Roger of 93mm.org produced a videoblogging anthology at the Echo Park Film Center in Los Angeles. The film center is a wonderful community site in a small, but very well used space. Here is the closing where some goodies were gicen away and the center's director Pablo asked about people's film making background. We had a great time and met a bunch of cool vloggers that I had not expected to run into. Visiting Cheryl Colan

Here's our first video for VideobloggingWeek 2009. We visited our friend Cheryl Colan in Phoenix, AZ.  She and Gary let us park our vlog bus in front of thier house and treated us to a wonderful breakfast with their friend Wendy (who made some great pancakes).  We stayed up late Friday night and most of the morning Saturday talking about videoblogging and teaching.  Cheryl showed us boxee, which is something I had been wanting to take a look at.  Thanks a bunch Cheryl! I wish we could have stayed longer.  What a fun way to finish up our five week RV trip across the United States.

Trip to Tiburon

I drove up to the bay area today to meet with the other Outhinkers in Tiburon to plan next steps for Ourmedia, SpinXpress and Bid4Vid. We took a break in the evening to get a bite to eat and a few tequila shots. Barely time left today for a Videoblogging Week 2008 video, so here's a short taste from our dinner with fellow twitter friends Dave Toole (musicality), Eric Zimmerman (ezwrighter) and Chris Ritke (critke).

Yesterday & Today in Tiburon

The weather changed a bit today. The San Francisco Bay area is known for this. Yesterday was postcard pretty and we all got out for a nice walk. Tonight, it is windy and stormy and I'm so glad to be cozy and warm inside.
