Super Happy Vlog Bus Day 1?
Here are some quick tips for starting out on an RV trip:
- Plan to pack the RV. This is a small task, similar to moving into a new house.
- Make sure that your registration tags are valid. The quickest way to do this is to drive at night with a missing head light and wait for a law enforcement officer to stop you within a mile of your starting point. If he does not threaten you with a misdemeanor and towing, you're good to go.
- Check your headlamps. If one is out, fix it immediately. If your tags are invalid, you may wish to wait until day-light and drive four hours to get replacements.
We're waiting for day-light and a new set of tags and documents. Then we're off again.
I won't even mention the tree we ran over.
On the bright side, it was nice to spend an extra night with Malcolm the cat.
I think I figured out a simple way to map our location via twitter. Will try it later.

Holy Cow! I hope you guys
Holy Cow! I hope you guys have better luck today.
This is great actually...
Something always goes haywire. This qualifies. Now we have it out of the way! :)
in the beginning...
it's better that you find out these problems than in the middle of West TX. Get it all straight, then lock it in cruise control.
Day 1
(PEALS of laughter!)
Glad it was a gentle lesson - be safe and have fun.
Eastward Ho! Well, tomorrow...
If this is how day 1 turned out, I can't wait to hear how day 2 goes. : )
